My car is the one we are trying to do the swap on.....I will also provide lunch for anyone who has done a swap before and can help us out. I really want to put this tranny in soon cause I have had it for a month+ just sitting in my parents garage. The tranny I have to put in is a JDM V.4 STI tranny 5 spd with the 4.44 final drive. Should be fun once it's in..

Yeah, I just need you to get me in Ryan, I have been there a couple times. Usually I get a visitors permit if you sign me in and then once we get to the shop it's all good. When could you possibly help out Ryan? I know you've done this so we could use the help/experience. I am going to pm jeff and ken as well.

 

I can get you on base. But... This weekend I will be in Miami for Reserves.

My best friend owns a very well known tampa transmission rebuilding shop. He does not work weekends though

 

I know at the hobby shops here they make the owner of the car show registration and ID...good luck getting on.

i could get you on base too actually. Im going there on saturday early in the morning to fix a few things. That might actually benefit me to get you in because i have a wiring issue that i need fixed and maybe you can help me out with it...

 

^sounds good cause.......I am able to get a lift at my friends shop on sat. but he said we could only use it for about 5-6 hours and he has no tools for us to borrow cause his mechanic is on vacation and doesn't let anyone use his tools when he isn't there.

does anyone have the subaru procedure for tranny removal that they can either print out or email me? I'm sure it could help us.

um i dont know the tranny removal off the top of my head but ive seen it done before. I might be able to get my boy danny to print it off from the dealership repair manual. Ill see what i can do. Tomorrow is a definite meet though. We are heading out at 9am. so if thats cool, just PM me and get my number and i will get it together.
