It's great that Garrett's work is done at a dealership but I'm guessing that it's on his off time, hence no warranty support for the labor or backing from the dealership if anything happens. So that COULD end up costing me more in the long run. The cost of gas to Ft. Myers as well as a day wasted is going to cost me more than taking it to Mastro. I have the tools and garage space at my place, but I just would rather do something else with my time than try to remove a tranny with the car on jackstands. I'm sure Garrett does great work, and if he was local to St. Pete, I'd consider it, but I'm going to play it safe on this one....

Although, if I take it to Brothers I can hang out at the Fantasyland strip club across the street while they work (wait, that will probabaly end up costing me more in the long run)

+1 for brothers. They do great work and know what their doing at that. Labor isnt that bad, but im pretty sure its around 85 an hour as well. Your pretty much looking the same everywhere you go.

I was thinking the same thing. Don't personally know much about shops in the tampa area other than XAT and Brotherz. Out of the tow I'd go with Brotherz...I never use dealerships as they normally, from my experience, have the worst service, laziest employees and the most shoddy work at the highest rate...Just from what I've seen happen up here.

No need to get my hands dirty, im a parts salesman, not an installer. Oh and i have a tuner as well. So your saying that at each sales facility 1 guy should do everything? thats retarded I do quite well with what i do, like me or hate me, it wouldn't change anything.
