Default Went to BMP tonight

Well i drove an hour south with a buddy that has an STi to Bradenton Motorsports Park, (Desoto Speedway), and had 5 runs, of which 2 were pretty good for my first time out...

I'll post pics of the timeslips as soon as i figure out how to (in the morning)

1st run (first run in my life, and of the night)
Reaction Time: .387
60': 2.540
1/8: 10.362
MPH 69.27
1/4 15.969
MPH 87.89

2nd Run
.190 <-- oh yeah baby, gotta love the 4EAT
2.393
10.123
70.24MPH
15.653
88.93MPH

3rd run
.671 No yellows, went straight to green and caught me off guard. ohwell.
2.449
10.171
70.48MPH
15.724
87.33MPH

Car:
1999 Legacy 2.5GT 4EAT
mods:
custom intake
custom catback
Agency Power Pulley
SAFC2 (dyno tuned)
Custom Wet Nitrous Kit set to a 30shot

wanted to have my Wideband 02 installed before i took it to the track, but it ran great and no problems on the hour long spirited drive with my STi buddy on the way back

In my 3rd run I was up against a Cobalt SS and because of my bad reaction I sat on his back bumper the whole time, slowly starting to inch ahead towards the end... if only i'd have gotten a good launch I'd be able to say I put the whoopin on a Cobalt SS

after the first run i adjusted the RPM window switch, it had been spraying until 5800RPM, I adjusted it so that it would stop spraying at 6000rpm's, to get as much top end power as I could get, because thats where i seem to be falling off, is the low redline on my car.

I can't wait for the new engine and tranny... saving up, little by little every day!

Gotta work on your launch. Those 60' are very high. But decent times.

those are good times for an auto....don't think you can get a great 60 with a low power 4eat.

yes i was spraying, but it doesn't spray in 1st gear, tach driver doesn't send a strong enough signal to the RPM window switch...

also remember that my car runs 1/4 mile times upwards of 18-19 stock. its only 95whp stock.

Oh, and I can only launch to 2,000RPM's because it is an auto

the ONLY reason i went to the track asside from idle curiosity was so that I have a benchmark, for when the new engine goes in so that I know what my car was capable of previously, and to have a guage as to how much better I am doing.

It was definately an experience, I've never been to the track before, and getting 5 good runs in was more than I was hoping for. It was fun, I had to run against a twin turbo 350Z with nitrous twice.... but thats okay, i wasn't expecting to win any races lol

Yeah that 350z was sick..lol..it was fun but way to hot out... I managed to pull a 12.98 at a 103.90...not bad for my first time out to the track...also it was good meeting everyone out there, we will have to do it again sometime soon...

Not bad times, 60ft def needs to come down some, they have any higher stall converters for the auto suby's yet?

And you gave me neg rep for saying a beat a legacy gt in the turbo'd escort. No hard feelings tho!

FYI I trap 79-82mph in the 1/8th I can't cut anything better than about a 2.3xx 60ft with my damn fwd though
