Im looking to get either a 06-08 Subaru legacy gt. I want to know the good/bad/ugly about this car. I have yet to test drive the gt, but i did test drive the legacy. I love the feel of the car, but i feel as if the base limited is going to be to slow for me, in which it is. The interior is awesome, and the gt comes with pretty much the same as far as my knowledge. I Just wanted to know what you guys thought about them. I already PM'd jonwrx(jonlgt) whatever about it. But i wanted a good overall opinion.....

it could be the legacy gt the ol skool brat or the baja...any subaru is the BOMB!!! But i dont know much bout the legacy but i would say its second best compared to the sti but the sti is the "come over here and get you doors blown off" car the legacy is more of the "yeah it looks like i got money with my luxury car"....i could be wrong but from wat i see thats wat i know

 

I love the new legacy's, except for the front grill, other than that.... great car. I was trying to trade my old legacy in for one of the new turbo'd ones, just too expencive for me so i'm doing an sti swap into the old legacy. Good luck!

My wifes (05 Legacy GT Ltd) has a little sqeak on the center console, which is quite noticeable since it is so quiet in the cabin. Other than that...

They're pretty quick with the stock turbo only being slightly smaller than that of the STi. In 05 they even had the same block/heads.

 

are the rods and pistons the same as well?

 

legacy gt for the win...another thing most don't know is that there TB is restricted to 80% at WOT pedal position from the factory...a quick reflash makes some nice numbers really quickly

same block and heads as the sti...and the new wrx's too
not sure if the internals are the same...next time I go to the dealership, I'll cross reference the numbers.

 

yeah...I guess I shouldve stated same Longblock. ie cams, pistons, rods, heads, valves, etc...
