Default JDM turbo/downpipe vs US turbo/downpipe

interesting stuff that I did not know. I just got my JDM v7 turbo setup and I was comparing to the US stuff and looky what I saw. none of this is really a big deal, I just thought it was cool to compare.

downpipe is obviously bellmouth for the JDM folks... doesnt look like the piping is any larger though.

here is a pic of the JDM header (equal length)

turbo comparo. see the flapper size difference on the JDM turbo (vf37) vs the vf39.

The flapper is different because its a twin scroll. There are, in essence, 2 wastegates behind that one flapper. Hence why it has 2 exhaust inlets That would be a VF-37, no?

BTW, I demand that you let me hear how it sounds when you're done with the install. Twin scroll FTMFW!

I should have it on by sat. hopefully. I think I am gonna hack off the flange on the JDM dp and weld it on to a txs 4" downpipe. thats really all i am waiting for is to decide what to do about exhaust fitment.

^ No doubt. I just figured you would have been happy with the 30R setup. I was thinking you may want to start getting into autocross or something.

its basically the same as the vf39. its really a complete waste of money, but I love it.
