i hate people who talk shit period, people take this shit too serious. when i go out, its because i enjoy it, its fun. weather its from dig or roll, weather i win or lose, i'm out to have a good time. also, alot of people here have mulitple set-ups. they have traction bars and slicks for the track, but dont cruise around town with that shit on their car just looking for races from a dig. a roll race is more car vs. car, a dig race adds more room for driver skill, either way i'm enjoying myself. i give you your race, you give me mine, everyone is happy, we shake hands, and post the war story.

its a never ending argument, just like import vs. domestic, chevy vs. ford, roll vs. dig. you're just wasting your breath bitching about it. just enjoy yourself, and dont worry about stupid shit like this, and you'll have a better time racing.

Thats just a cheesy line for ppl who cant drive their car. Roll Racing started on the street with huge whp rwd's that could not get traction without slicks. The idea of rolling street cars that could not toss out 300 on the dyno is fucking lame. Lets take two shit box hondas and get them going 30mph and see wich one can get to 90 first and throw on the flashers.

Tampa ppl dont know shit about Street Racing or the scene at all, theres no heart here. No shops pounding the street fisting out hand fulls of hunderd dollar bills for pride and street cred. I grew up in the scene, Lived it every week for years. I watched ppl get jumped for bring up roll racing, stomped the fuck right into the ground. That shit is disrespectful to someone who brough a car out to go, you dont turn on tv and see "PINKS ALL OUT" CARS THAT CANT GO FAST ROLL FROM THE STAGEING LANES. get the fuck out. I miss the old days, before the Import scene was filled with shit cars and ppl who could not change an exhaust gasket.

I didnt grow up here so I dont know what it was like in the old days. I have to agree that where I was from there was no such thing as "roll racing" (except for the occasional doofus who decided to build up an engine yet still had 2:73's in the rear). Yeah, we didnt have a lot of respect for cars that werent built from the rear -> front...Power is nothing w/o traction. If you werent hanging rubber from a dig (on the street), you werent setup right. Then again that was 20+yrs ago when the only fast 4cyl imports (at least in Texas) were air-cooled VW's. Which consequently do just fine from a dig.

 

i'll just say this as my last post hopefully....

why limit yourself to only drag racing? shit, i'll do anything. i'll even raise my car and go off road with you subies, i dont care, its all fucking fun. when you limit yourself and starting bitching, you take the fun out and make it serious, and none of you people bitching make a living racing cars, so quit crying.

813-05-sti, FL has a bigger race scene than NY, handsdown. i see hooked up cars everywhere i go down here, last time i was in NY i saw maybe 5 hooked up cars there the whole week, and most were riced out. and kicking someones ass for talking about roll racing? i guarnatee no educated person would do that, only ghetto-pride dumbasses do that shit.

Orlando and Miami are nice but neither can hold a candle to NYC. NYC has a Street Racing Enforcment Team, Tampa cant even get 1 car to the Causeway when its where everones at. They can spare the Hellicopter for 5 mins to make a victory lap and hope to scare everyone out.

Hunts Pont is Legend, Its been covered in every major magazine everywhere.You dont know about the fighting and pride and grudge matches that go on b/c you dont know the scene there. Its not just a thing its a Life Style ppl live, its shops pounding pavement building next weeks car. Not shit box cars 11,10,9 sec street cars with cash to call out your bullshit.

Just save it, I dont know where you think you went in NYC but you never made it anywhere thats gettin down
