Springs.....
Ive been wanting to lower my car for a while and I think Im going to now, I just need to find the right springs. I have heard that the Tein Green Spings are ok but they will mess up your stock struts after like 16k miles. What do you guys have on your cars, and how is the ride quality, and how is the handling. Thanks

I have had tein s techs on my car for awhile now and my shocks are just as good as the day I bought the car. In fact, I know probably 6 people running the Tein S techs and not one have them has blown a strut
Nasioc makes it seem like the struts will blow out. But from my experience, it is just a myth

Well, first of all, no springs are good for the stock struts. They will wear faster. I had stock STi springs on my wrx and didn't like the ride height so I went with Prodrive springs...ride height=very nice but ride quality=bad. And, within a few thousand miles the struts started to get worse, go bad. Because I didn't have the money to buy coilovers I decided to change struts. I went with a set of STi struts (thinking it would provide better ride quality than an aftermarket strut). It did provide better ride quality but it's still pretty stiff.
With that said. I haven't ridden in a WRX with Tein springs but my bro has a Mazda Protege with Tein's on it and it rides great and the ride quality is pretty good too.
I'm still not happy with my suspension, and probably won't be until I can adjust the ride height and dappening to just my liking. So, unfortunately, I think it's going to be a trial and error process. Ride in other peoples cars, see what you think. That's the best way. And then save your pennies for some coilovers.
