Yes way too expensive. I would have much rather had someone bring by a carerra gt for me to test drive. Funny thing is that the porsche carrera gt's don't seem to be that rare over there.

What's that gps on the rear of armrest for? Backseat drivers? Or spoiled people that have other people drive their $600k cars while they lounge in the back?

thats awesome, i'm glad more and more research($) is going into this type of alternative energy sources.

and guys, don't rag on the price tag, you have any idea how much a computer in the 80's was? i remember my parents were debating wether to get a new car or to get a computer. granted the car was used and only 2500 dollars, but the computer was nearly 3K including all of the peripherals.

also this is for people who have more money than they know what to do with...so they can just add another car to the collection.

There are only 2 hydro stations in the us. Sacramento and DC. These cars are going to high profile celebs like their governor and maybe someone like Dicaprio. The purpose was just to showcase BMW's innovation and to show that it can be done.
