okay, what the hell is GM6? What is the difference? I've never really understood that. I've always known them as GCs...

G = first, original Impreza Chasis
C = 4-door
M= 2-door
8 = 2.0L turbo
6 = 2.5L non-turbo
4 = 2.2L non-turbo
2 = 1.8L non-trurbo
Thus...
GC8 = 4-door Impreza 2.0L turbo...not available here in the US from the dealer
GM8 = 2-door Impreza 2.0L turbo...again not available here in the US from the dealer
GC6 = 4-door Impreza 2.5L non-turbo...in other words, the 2.5RS sedan
GM6 = 2-door Impreza 2.5L non-turbo...the 2.5RS coupe
GC4 = 4-door Impreza 2.2L non-turbo...Impreza LX and L (if I remember correctly) sedan
GM4 = 2-door Impreza 2.2L non-turbo...Impreza LX/L coupe (not sure if that was available)
GC2 = 4-door Impreza 1.8L non-turbo...Impreza Brighton sedan
GM2 = 2-door Impreza 1.8L non-turbo...Impreza Brighton coupe
C = 4-door
M= 2-door

wtf...this is what happened to the original subaru community. Ppl would always now what a GC8 was, now it's this technically broken down bullshit. C'mon, you hear GC8, you know what someone means. You don't need to be an asshat and get all technical w/ a GM6, or GMA.

im sorry for trying to educate someone who didnt know the inner-workings of subaru.
i guess you dont mind when people call your car a WRX and ask you if you have a turbo all the time. if your going to be ignorant, dont act like you arent.
