Default Drop in boost after header install?

I installed my headers today (ebay's) On stock manifolds I was peaking at about 19psi and tapering to 16.5 on a stock turbo. Now im peaking at 17.5 and tapering to about 14.5psi. Any insight? The car actually feels quicker no the top end, definately lost low end torque though.

BTW: no more boxer rumble

i think what happens is the turbo gets too much air flow so it pulls timing and opens the wastegate sooner to compensate. i may be wrong but i'm sure if you have it retuned it will fix it. sucks you lost the rumble though...

yeah it does suck, do miss it. But im going to go with a different cat back, one with a deeper tone, which i think will kinda offset it. My turbo does spool quicker now from a roll, and seems to breathe better, but there is a noticeable difference in torque loss from a dig. All in all im happy with it, even though it was a PITA to install.
