Default Knock, Knock

Who's there? Spun Rod. Spun rod who? Spun rod in my 03 WRX...Damnit.

So, I'd like your suggestions. I have $2K and could obviously put it back to stock for that much. But, I'm looking for different ideas. I found an ej25 on NASIOC with the head (13k miles). The guy wants $1200 but I'm sure I could get it for $1K, give or take a few dollars.

Let me know what you think.

I do have one question. Will the WRX 5MT mate to the ej25?

Damn that sucks...same thing happened here! Cost about $8k after the upgrades that is to go back to stock $2k should be enough..are you doing the work yourself?

Yes and No. I'll be helping a friend of a friend do it. There will be some labor but not a whole lot.

So, if I bought the 25 I could swap it out with my 20 with no issues? Would the computer need to be replaced? Will the axles and everything else go in ok?

ok so tell me what the advantages/disadvantages are to the 25 then? It seems like a no brainer to me. If I'm going to spend XX amount to take out the 20 and rebuild it, why not just throw in the 25 and spend about the same amount of money?

Then the block is a no brainer, do it! You will need a tune, Snowman can do it for you unless you have someone else. Catless up pipe and exhaust would help you greatly as well.
