Why? It's more expensive, heavier, and the six speed transmission is known to be more fragile than the five speed. The only thing that it has over the SE is the upgraded Bilstein shocks, but who cares? The SE is the second lightest Evo next to the RS, so for the extra 4 grand, what are you really buying with the MR?

more pics of the EVO!

so basically an SE is an MR for $4G's less with a nicer front spoiler, no bilstiens, and no vortex gererator? and it's got HID's! nice!

edit: I thought it was 6-speed... but if the 5 is stronger thats a plus for me

All of the 4G63's in all of the Evo's have the magnesium valve covers and hollow cams. There is no difference between the engine in the MR or any of the other Evo's (in the same model year).

skeet05 knows everythin about evoz. nice lol. but yea. MR transmissions are weaker. i dunno how many times my 3rd gear and 6th gear went out hahah. oo well. but yea. the bilstein does make a difference. i personally dont think its worth the money though. i had an MR. and i wouldnt spend the money on it again.. sure it feels fucking stick as fuck. but not worth the money. the SE is light, and has all the MR goodies. no engine difference in any of the evos. only trans, and differential stuff. their was couple of things from a evo 8 to an evo 9. but lets not get into that. this is suby tech after all right?
