ooh. how does putting a bov cause that to happen? doesnt the sti already come wit bov? It was the newer gen. It had like a 4" exhaust it was real big. does dat have n e thing to do wit it?

 

stock sti comes with a bpv, which recirculates the air. bov vents the air which cause the car to run rich between shifts. the excess fuel is burnt in the exhaust system thus causing fireballs.

I seen this kit in a magazine that you can buy that bolts onto your muffler and thows out fireballs. He might have had one
