Question Turbo Upgrade question...

I'm building my WRX/STi hybrid as most of you know.

I was planning on going with the VF39 and almost had one in hand until I was outbid at the last 5mins! Damn ebay!! LOL

Any way I'm considering a few diffrent turbos :

VF22
VF30
VF34 backordered everywhere!
VF39...but worried about boost spike and cracking.

Big 16G
18G
20G

My only worry about these last 3 is that I've seen the pics of them and they don't look like they are bolt on. Do they require additional modification?

I am going with sti pink injectors so I don't want to max those out so it has to be able to accomodate that.

evo3 16G FTW

ok wait...he said no maxing out...

so regular 16G on pinks

if you want evo 3 16G or larger, PE650's are the way to go...

honestly i would go with the 20g. mantra who had the exact same car as you with the hybrid motor, 2.5 block on 2.0 heads and with the 20g that car was nasty. instant spool!!!

go with the 20g, you will not regret it.

didnt see your post about only using the pinks. 16g would be the way to go again. upgrade those injectors and go 20g.

Have your stockers modified, do it while your car is down and have better flowing injectors than pinks.

how do those 20G's work as far as mounting? are they bolt on to the up pipe? In the pics it doesn't look like it is.

How big of injectors whould I need to properly fuel that thing?
