i wouldnt get one, but if your really set on getting one go with the APS or Injen i supose
hey bro, i would go with aps or perrin for sure i had aps and i am very pleased. the quality of the product is awesome is not flemsy, it is thick ass metal and puts out great power numbers. dont let the price of the upgrade want to make you buy it. there is other stuff you need to buy before you get intake, you will actually lose horsepower if you get it now because you are bringing in more air than your stock exhaust system can put out so your not doing your engine any favors. i got my hks hi-power exhaust which is great, hks uppipe and hks downpipe on first before i got intake and when you get intake it doesnt hurt to get a turbo inlet hose at the same time it helps the turbo spool faster. if you have any other questions pm me another thing i think your the guy asking about the hks bov i had it , it is great but it makes your car run alittle richer, go with aps or perrin recirculating bov it does just the same and makes your car idle better
I dont reccomend an intake without a tune either. Tuning is everything on these cars.

SPT or Cobb. The main thing to look at is the internal diameter of the pipe at the MAF sensor.. It's has to be stock, or as close to stock in order for the MAF sensor to get proper readings. Injens do NOT have the proper internal diameter and everyone knows, or should know that Perrin stuff is garbage now. Old stuff, Perrin's ok, new stuff, Perrin blows balls. Do some research.
And I don't care if it says MAF Sensor. That's what I call it. MassAirFlow Sensor. Some say MAS i think. Whatever. Pointless post. People are going to tell you to use 15 different intakes but in the end, it's what you can afford and whatever you think is best. Just stay away from the 1st gen Cobb ones. They break.

here's what's best for your car. Keeping it stock.
Once you start modding, it costs money. If you aren't prepared to fix what you break, then dont start messing with it.
The stock airbox is going to be fine for whatever it is you want to do to your car. If you ever plan on going more than 300-320whp, then you will need a better air delivery system. By that time, your WRX will be breaking and you'll need a new motor. Then, you'll go 2.5 and go rotated so it won't even matter at that point.
