Tire Question
The RE070's are almost done after 23k miles. Thinking about these as a replacement...

I saw them on the ESX STi at Mastro the other day. Anyone have any experiences with these? From what I've read, they perform well and are considerably cheaper.

I have heard good things about them too. But personally after driving on RE070s before, i wouldnt ever use any other tire on a 17" wheel, and you can find them cheap on NASIOC, or IWSTI.

Have a look at the Falken Azenis RT-615. This is a very popular tire for our cars and I will be getting a pair when I ware the stockers out.

I have them on my car now. They really suck, except in the rain in which case they are awesome. I know that no tire has a sidewall that is as stiff and RE070's, but these things are ridiculously squishy. They grip just fine, but you have to run really high tire pressures to not get the tire to roll over on the sidewall when cornering hard. I really think that if BFgoodrich stiffened up the sidewall, these tires would be awesome. Till then, don't bother.
