Arrow Looking for a good EMS

I will be doing some upgrades soon and want to do it right, so I'm looking for a good EMS that I can play with and adjust as I see fit. Which one would you guys recommend?

Hydra, AEM, or Cobb w/streetuner. Or Open ECU, but, im not sure how in depth you can get with free software...

we love the turboxs utec's they are great...but i'd also been selling a ton of those cobb ap's...aem ems/hydra would be a little too much ecu for someone who doesnt want to go real big

oh yeah!! I went from Unichip to EcuTek to the free stuff, what a waste of money but, it was all we had at the time...

I remember 5 years ago when the Unichip was the hot stuff, then the UTEC killed that...

lol, i went from the ap, to the utec, now free. after looking into the free stuff there really is no reason to go back to either(unless i ever wanted SD). not to mention my car is a lot smoother with the free, i love it all over again.

I don't have a laptop but have a freind with a Subbie who also wants to get an EMS and he's considering getting a TurboXS, would I need a laptop or could I use my desk top?If I pull out the ECU.

Where would I find the "free stuff"?

Also can you use the same tuning say from Turbo XS on 2 different cars or can it only be used on the 1st one you install it on?
