I got a set of four B'stone Potenza RE050A PPs 225/45/YR17s for $623 mounted, balanced and with a road hazard warranty at Firestone on Fowler [University Mall]. Tire rack has them on special for $145/tire but with the road hazard and shipping it would have come out to $699. Then mounting and all that jazz would have been extra obviously.
The guy did a pretty good job on the install too, no noticeable scuffs or scrapes on the rims. I do enough of that as it is
Took a little over 3 hours, but I killed time at the Mall with the ghetto fabs and the pseudo-Buffingtons. The 'Buffys won't actually come in until the Starbucks opens up
We'll see how long these 140 treadwears will last; I had Sumitomo HTRZs, not HTRZ II's, which were 260 and they lasted about 30k miles. First thing I like about the new Bridgestones is how meaty they look on a 17x7 rim. Good thing they have stiff sidewalls.
