Default Need Opinion. Help.

I went to put on the turbo xs downpipe that i have had in my garage.



Once I pulled the old downpipe out and went to put the new one in I put the downpipe on but the cat back adapter would not connect .

The holes on the flang would not line up with the cat back.

does anyone know of a cat back that will mate with that adapter or a place that will cut the flang off and reweld it so it will mate? or do you think I should buy an new adapter and midpipe that i know should connect up? or just get a totally different downpipe all together?

I finished the work late today so i was not able to get the old one on so right now im running open downpipe . and i have school 45 mins. away tomorrow.

get the turbo xs midpipe, i remember you said you wanted the stock axel back

I may buy a mid pipe but then i would have to buy a test pipe too $$$. But im just questioning the fitment of turbo xs now. I may get on the phone with turbo xs to make sure that if i buy a test pipe and midpipe that it will definatly work with the axle back. Another problem is I could buy another downpipe for the price of the midpipe

This use to be 813_05_Sti downpipe, Bran what exhaust did you use with this downpipe?

it must be the first version of the txs dp. mine mated up fine with my setup.

did you have a cat-back or a full turbo xs system? I did not know you were running a txs downpipe.

This part allows the use of the TurboXS Super-Huge Downpipe with most any standard cat-back exhaust (but not the stock cat-back).

i think that stuff in the parenthese is where i screwed up at . of all the reading and stuff i do i missed the most important part .

I have the txs setup. just get the rst of the setup it's actually really quiet. im sure a lot of peple can vouch for me.

yeah ill probably do that come friday i get paid. I guess im going to have to put the stock stuff back on till i can get the right stuff, but open downpipe sound sick.

i made a little diagram to illistrate what is wrong i think when i get around to it ill just have the adapter flang cut and rewelded.

but i still have the problem of getting cel even with a mechnical fix

I'm sorry this didnt work This is the same problem James (Faded) had. I figured it might have been his exhuast since it was a turbo-back it may be designed different. PM Brian and see what he was running.
