Anyone know where I can get the Subaru sub-woofer that goes under the driver's street, that plugs into the stock stereo for a "06 STI.

That tiny sub is a joke

 

I tried SubaruGenuine Parts and ordered it on September 1st. First they said it'll take a week. Then they said it's out of stock and will take another week. Then they said that no one in the country has it and they had to order it from Japan and it's on it's way via ship. Then they billed me when their policy is to bill only when the item is shipped to you. When I brought it to their attention they said they made a mistake and will gladly refund me and cancel my order. I opted not to cancel because I really want more bass, unless I can find it elsewhere. I want to keep the car as stock as possible and don't need a loud stereo.

 

Build/Have someone build you a custom box to fit underneath the seat. It is possible, I had a 8'' sub underneath the passenger seat and it sounded decent. This way, you can choose which speaker you want and not get stuck with some POS. Good luck=)

 

damn that sucks. maybe try the private for sale section on Welcome to NASIOC.com - North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club - News they usually go for about 100 bucks used, if you dont mind a used one.

 

Does the Basslink plug into the stock '06 STI radio?

 

yes it will,

but I don't reccomend the basslink II, get the first version.
