what uppipe should i get with my 38mm ewg setup?

 

you want an uppipe to modify to EWG? (like a standard perrin)

or an uppipe that already has the bung? Like the new Helix v3, ultimate racing, or SBR?

Mine was an HKS with the custom welded on EWG bung then it was ceramic coated.

the only reason I didn't get this one was it's NOT stainless, thats why I went custom... plus mine was still cheaper and it's stainless AND coated




BUT that ultimate seems to not have any fittment issues... I'll find out on this HKS later

 

why did you want stainless? im not entirely fimiliar with properties of steel, but id think heavy gauge steel would hold heat in better then stainless, and thats all that matters in pre-turbo exhaust. but i guess coating it will obviously be more helpful.

btw, how much did that guy make you pay for the whole thing?

 

thats probably true but thats so minute you know... I just wanted mine to last forever and not rust out

 

It doesnt matter if its stainless or not if you're going to coat it.

Get the cheapest up pipe you can find and modify it.

you know this setup I got ended up not fitting. when installed the tial touches the axle boot

I jsut ordered an SBR but noticed a Turbosmart gate might fit.

 

if you could have taken pictures id be interested to see how much was in the way. wondering if it would make a difference if it were on an RS or not. ill have to take a look when i do the engine swap, i might take that one off your hands.
