Default turbo timer help

I have a Greddy Full-Auto timer on my 03' WRX which came with the car. When I go to turn off the car, it starts the countdown and all but when the timer turns off, hte car continues to run. The handbrake feature also works, but only the unit turns off, not the engine. The only way I can get the engine to turn off is by unplugging the blakc harness in the back with the four wires coming out of it. Also, it doesn't recognize that the key has been removed unless it is in ig mode, although I've tried in acc mode as well and it doesn't even start the countdown. Does anyone have any idea of what I should do?

sounds like the ignition wire is not connected right...otherwise you can always take it out and sell it. i have one but if you use synthetic oil ive heard you really don't need it unless you race the car for a long time.

Well it was already hooked up and such when I bought the car, so I figured I would try and get it to work. I am going to check the ignition wires again.

i also had a similar problem with my 02 but i had a friend of mine fix it who is an electrical engineer. he even rigged it so that my alarm would work and if you dropped the ebrake the engine shut off.

IBTpeopletellyouTTsareuseless.

Did you use a harness or hardwire it in?

I called GReddy and they told me the only help they could give me is to buy a new one. I think I'm going to smash it up and mail it back to them.
