+1. A 6-puck is just overkill. No sense in sacrificing driveability when a lesser clutch can hold your power just fine. Not to mention the fact that a beefier clutch like that is going to put more stress on your gears.

Is your stock clutch going out. If it's not and you plan on staying stock turbo, Id say stick with the stock clutch. It should hold the power, and wont put any extra stress on the rest of the drivetrain. If it is going out or you are planning a bigger turbo, maybe an Exedy organic or ACT HD Street. They should both be good to the 300wtq level or so (dont quote me), and will still have driveability like stock and put only a bit more stress on everything.

Im glad I asked I have no experiance with clutches whatsoever. My clutch right now has some chatter, and is not very fun to drive. i think another 1000 miles and it will be gone totally. i plan on having everything cryo treated also.

JonWRX,

SonicWRX and I are both running the ACT HD Street. SonicWRX is running the vf22 and I am running a 20g (on Kaaz gears). It is a little stiffer than stock at first, but once it breaks in a little, you would never know the difference. We both would highly recommend it. I don't have any chatter like I did with my stock. Cannot say anything bad about the stock clutch. It lasted me 114k+ miles!

I will vouch for the ACT S1 w/Streetlite flywheel. *Engages like stock. Way better feel than the SPEC S2 that I had which chattered like a MoFo with a very inconsistent engagment point and then on top of it all, only lasted 12k miles.

Let me know if you need to borrow my tranny jack.

*edit: I should say that my stock clutch was fine and it only slipped once at the track so I replaced it for something a little stronger. FWIW: The Stock Clutch, VF30, 4.444's, 245/45-17's, and VHT don't mix.
