Custom bellows for STi TMIC/GT Spec Splitter
Custom bellows for STi TMIC/GT Spec Splitter
With all the recent heat I went ahead and finished the bellows for my GT Spec Splitter/STi TMIC. I had used a hacked up stocker for awhile but I was never happy with it, as it was covering part of the core.
Here you get a good perspective of how it lines up left to right. When I look through the scoop I can see the seal where it contacts the sides with no blockage of the core.
The bends didnt turn out as crisp as I would've liked. Eh...not too bad considering I was using tin snips and a 2"x4"
FWIW: the duct-tape was used to hold everything together before the rivets where installed. I decided to leave it since it provided some extra sealing and covers up sharp edges.
This view shows how far it rakes back
I need to drill some new holes for these bolts (only one shown) and install some water sprayers in their place. Convience took over at the time as I used the sprayer holes for the front and the existing OEM splitter mounting points in the rear of the splitter as the attachment points for the new bellows.
