found a problem with the STi
im a little late posting this but i replaced my coupler that goes from the turbo to the intercooler piping. i was replacing it due to the coupler was looking a little tired and old. i take the old couple off and to my suprise it is destroyed. i had a major boost leak. the coupler looks like it is just coming apart, threads everywhere. i dont know how long its been that way due to the way the coupler sat, i couldnt see where it was leaking. PDX hooked my up with a brand new one, free of charge and big difference in how the car rides. boost comes on alot harder and alot quicker. its always nice when you can find one of the bugs thats hurting the performance of your car and its an easy fix, even better when the part is replaced for free.
ill post some pics of the coupler when i get some time. the coupler lasted about a year

i understand its the piece going from the turbo to the intercooler but with side id assume the turbo side? So im going to go check his car and see if it is a normal problem

but mine is going to a fmic setup. little different coupler. ive never heard of anyone else having the problem
