Default What a F'n day

got up this morning to install some stuff on the sti (gruppe s header, fp green, injectors, spark plugs, perrin intake....). Got to wrenching on the header and found out it was way easier to take off than I was anticipating. So I get the IC off, intake out, header off, up pipe to the turbo off, turbo out....then go to put the gruppe s header on and find out that the f'n flange on the header for the pipe to the turbo is 3 bolt.. well needless to say it has to be 2 bolt in order to bolt back to the factory piece. So now my car is down for a couple of days till I get a new header

Anyway so I just got so frustrated that I had to quit for today.. F'n cars really make you work for it sometimes.

I did however manage to get in the Group N motor mounts and walboro fuel pump so I guess the day wasnt a total loss.

Damn bro that really sucks. On the other hand the extra power is going to be so much better.

why not leave you stocl header and uppipe on till then. it's catless and will get the car on the road. so you can enjoy it. wont take long later on to switch that out.

yeah today sucks though.

I would have to bolt the stock header back on and I dont wanna do that. I will just leave it apart till I get the new header on tuesday.

How difficult were the engine mounts? Just curious to how you went about doing them.

engine mounts were not fun. you just unbolt them, then put your jack under the oil pan and jack up the engine till you can pull the mounts out, then slide in the new ones and bolt them back in.
