Don't waste your money on a CEL fix. Just try not to hit full boost and yes, you need a boost gauge.

Boost and EGT is all you need.

Yeah i would say thats probably boost creep the 06 have that problem with a full tbe. Thats why im waiting until i can afford a cobb ap before i get a dp. I would also get a boost guage soon without one its like driving the car blind expecially with mods.

LOL 6500RPM is redline! Remember he has an 06, but anyway on the 06 WRX's (with the bigger engine) and all STi's you should ALWAYS go with EM before going with a full turbo back. This is because you WILL experience boost creep and could do some damage to your car if your not careful. I would definatly wait until your AP arrives. BTW Im going to flash my WRX with my AP in a few weeks! Anyway good luck with your car!

Just for some info..The AP did not fix my boost creep
I had to port the Turbo and adj the wategate arm (porting alone did not fix it either)
Also i was boosting to 20psi!!! before i got it under control....a boost gauge should be mandator with a TBE or AP
I had the spark plug anti-fowler thing for my tbe (to fix the o2 reading) ...it did not work for me...the AP did.

Turbo engines need to run rich to keep from blowing up. At WOT, even with a tune, you should be running 12:1 AFR.
