Default Building 2.5 engine

I'm going down to Mastro to pick up a 2.5 short block and some other crap.

I trying to decide if I want performance cams, and which ones to get?
Let me know what you guys are running. I post up some more info on the build as start tearing down the 2.0.

Do you plan on doing headwork as well? I went the cheap route (if $4600 parts/labor is cheap) and kept the stock wrx heads with the 2.5 shortblock. I had no problems running a DB20G with that setup. However, if you plan on a larger blower, I would atleast port the heads and do the TGV delete as well. I was afraid if I wanted to go bigger than a 20G, I would end up floating the valves eventually. Good luck!

There was a thread about a guy who welds the TGV holes and then ports it out for over 100 more cfm of flow, $185. Yeah I am considering getting a bigger turbo the SR40 isn't great imo. How do you like the 20g, is it the TD06? IF my heads are still good I will probbly not get the rest of the stuff, if the need work I will get the tgv ported, helix cams and valve train and some forged valves.
The thing that bothered me the most is I never got a sign, not a CEL or over heating nothing. I was trying to buy a DR725 from my friend, I want to get rid of the MRT TMIC. What do you run now Mantra?

Unfortunately the car is sold. I was still running an MRT TMIC because I desired instant throttle response and little lag as possible from the 20G with an TD06 hotside. Full spool (20-21psi pump gas)was around 3300 -3400 rpm holding to about 6700 rpm's then tapering to 17 psi. I wanted to save the life of rings, especially being setup for roadcourse duty. Alky injection was next on the list until the reality of being self employed hit me like a ton of bricks (IRS and Taxes). So the toy had to go.

Well that sounds pretty good, maybe I ll keep the top mount and do a water or Cryo sprayer. I will probably wrap the new header, uppipe, and downpipe. And maybe the turbo too.
