Question Has anyone done this before?

I found this on google and was wondering if anyone has done the injector mod themselves and if they had any problems. It doesn't seem to hard and from what people are saying it is the same thing other companies charge 200 bucks for.

it itsnt that you are paying 200 bucks for the service, they flow test them to make sure your getting enough fuel.

this is not something to skimp on. if you havent done it befor, and arent 100% that you will get it right, i would recomend not doing it.

Just test them yourself....set up a mock fuel system. It's not like they're doing much more than simple measurements with the proper equipment. Making sure the injector sprays nicely is done with eyesight and bright lights, fuel flow is measured as volume in a specific time frame.

I didn't do that mod, but I did set up a makeshift injector test rig for a different purpose. It's not as exact as the company you'd pay $200 for the service, but as long as you pay attention i'd imagine the numbers wouldn't be too far off.

If you want to try it out, go for it...what's the worst that can happen? You ruin an injector and have to either get 1 new one, or spend the money on 4 new injectors which you seemingly want to get anyhow. Sounds like a win/win situation even if you mess up. I'd be down to helping you out if want to, we can also test the spray pattern and cc/min for each injector. I say go for it.

I have a set that I modded myself. You gotta be careful that you dont cut too far into the injector. I havent had them tested but I dont think I messed them up when I did it I'm gonna have them tested before the car goes together.

I did, car made 305whp 300lbtq tuned @19psi. They said they could go higher, but I was having electrical problems, my alternator was shot, and they didn't feel comfortable going any higher. I have been running like this for almost a year now. No problems.
