Unhappy Impreza Wheel Bearing

Does anyone know an alternative for the weak rear wheel bearings that are stock on the 1999 Impreza RSs? I'm pretty sure mine is going out again (the third time in about three years) and I don't want to have to keep spending $250 every 12 months just to keep my car from sqeaking (i just hate that sound).

I heard that a certain year Legacy bearing will work and is stronger than the stock RS ones, but dont know what year or if this is even true.

Any advice would be appreciated

this problem is nothing new with the 99-01 RS. i wonder why they didn't use the legacy bearings the first time.
