Default boost leak problem

I recently change by bov this morning from my stocker back to the hks ssq. made sure everything was nice and tight, but the problem is after driving it i am now only hitting peak at 16.5 then back to 13(redline) when before i was hitting 18-19 then back to 14-15. is it possible for the gasket to be worn out enough to leak 2psi off my top end? or is there another leak spot i can check? i asked ss and he said it might be the gasket, but i just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem before. thanks.

if that's not it you can test leaks a few ways. vacuum with something like carb cleaner( engine will rev a little higher), boost w/soapy water(bubbles), boost leak tester( pump in 20 psi and look for leaks).

also i don't know the hks bov but it could be it itself.
