Default Soon to be STI owner

Just wanted to check in and say "Hi". New to your board on the car side, but I guess I have ridden bikes with some of the peeps in the motorcycle section (that is how I found out about this website). Anywho, I am probably going to be picking up an STI in the next week or so. I wanted to find out what shops in Tampa are to be trusted for install (fuel management, exhausts, upgraded turb, etc) and dyno tuning. Also, where are you all getting your parts from, online or from the local shops.

Creig at CUE auto restyling dose good work with the subarus in town and isnt as exspensive as Mastro if you want to try him out. he is in Zephyrhills and can do almost anything (dose not have a dino yet). give him a try and see what he can do.

Default Hey Welcome man-

I used to own a '04 CBR600RR and loved it! To be honest as far as modifications go Subarus are easy to work on and as long as you have some mechanical skill you can do most of these things yourself? Unless time and warranty is an issue then I understand completely. What items were you looking at changing first? Maybe get used to it stock for a bit to really learn the cars dynamics then go to the mod list from there? Just suggestions on routes that I took myself....what color car/wheels are you getting?

I am planning on getting the silver with sliver wheels. As far as mods, I was thinking about a TBE AP stage 2 and some suspension stuff (whitline, kartboy, etc..). This will probably end up being a 2nd vehicle and I will keep my suv for my daily driver.

As far as balls out speed, that is what I have my bike for. Yeah there are fast cars running around, but 160+ WHP on 2 wheels railing corners with your face inches from the ground is just something that is difficult to describe

Huh, could you describe it as "I sort of like having all 4 wheels loosing traction at 120mph right at the edge of a 1000 ft. clift"?
