Default stuck in limp mode

i just moved to spring hill from chicago and i've been stuck in limp mode for about a week now. before i moved i decided to take out my 550's and utec but somehow i managed to throw a tgv code afterwards. then on the way outta illiinois my speedometer cable/sender unit broke. without the speedo my car is also stuck in limp mode. i'm wondering if anyone has done a swap and has a speedometer cable and the part that goes into the trans lying around? or maybe someone knows where there's an older impreza L in a junkyard? any help appreciated drew

How does one reset their ecu if they are stuck in limp mode? I know just disconnecting the negative terminal does not work. Something about disconnecting the neg. terminal and hitting the brake. Do you have to press so many times?

i've done the battery/brake pedal trick already it won't help for the fact i don't have a speedometer due to a broken cable. i've called around and dealerships want 55-61 bucks for the cable and 31 for the sender. i've also searched through car-parts.com and nobody could help me either. seems i may have to break down and have a dealership order me one.
