Default Poped Rear Diff.

I busted my rear diff. last night. i guess this is a good time to upgrade.but if i want to do that i have to get all the rear end parts off of a 04-now STi if i want a STi diff......im gonna go buy lotto tickets now,lol.

I cant wait till CUE opens up on tuesday so i can get her fixed .Maybe ill get that bullet proof rear diff by RalliTec that Craig was talking about

took ya long enough to pop that thing. Sux though, but atleats you will replace it wiht something better.

What's your final drive ratio in that car?

You could always do what I did:

I'll build an R200 subframe for you if you'd like.

My final drive ratio is 3.90.i had the ring and pinion changed to so it would match the front Diff. in my 6mt.
Would the R200 be stronger?

Factory Nissan R200 is good up to around 750whp and is the upgrade to the R180. The only problem would be fitting the proper final drive ratio, but I believe that an Infiniti J30 final drive is something like 3.90...

The custom axles I got made from Moser still use the Subaru hub ends but the shafts are cromolly. The shafts are what were breaking on my RWD conversion, but I haven't broken anything since the conversion (which I hope I can still say a long time from now).

If you're interested I could find out more info on gear ratios, subframe designs, getting my axles duplicated, etc.
