hey guys well i was considering buying new forged pistons for my sti and i came across this toda racing stroker kit and i was wondering if it was a good deal? any feedback would be appreciated

i went with mahle for mine. there is vertually no piston slap when the car is cold.

they are forged and coated...

Gringo, I gotta ask you. What on earth do you like about that ESX in your sig? It costs $50,000 and it has absolutely nothing done to the motor. $20,000 gets you wider wheels and tires (which stick out past the fenders and rub), a red interior, navigation, and a racing stripe. At least the '05 ESX (which was still ugly as sin) had a whopping (sarcasm) 375 crank hp. That ESX has got to be the most overpriced car. I wonder if Mastro will ever sell it.

 

Its that sound my car makes when its cold. Sounds like slapping a flabby belly (such as mine). Its caused by pistons with short skirts (sounds sexy) that sort of rock on the wrist pins when they're cold. It can be confused by people hearing it for the first time with detonation. Quality forged pistons aren't supposed to slap because they [supposedly] don't expand/contract as much.
