Default Viva!

My Enkei wheels came in today. Autox rims on the cheap! 17x7.5, 15lbs. The paint job is really nice, but its, well, a little too silver for my tastes. I'm going to call my paint guy and the powder coater Ese recommended in another thread tomorrow and see what they can do for me. When all is said and done, they'll be gold, likely sporting 235/40/17 Yokos. My original plans were for rally wheels before tarmac wheels, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on these.

So are you going to sell your STi wheels now or are these just going to get some nice R-compound rubber for track days?

These will be track wheels only. Because of that, I've decided against powder coating, after hearing some [confirmed] tales of wheels cracking or failing due to the baking process. Plus, I trust my paint guy to give me the best (read: least weight-adding) paint job. I don't compromise at all when it comes to track safety.

Once I get some tyres for them, I will probably have my STi's repainted to get rid of all the gravel chips.
