Default B9 Going to Start a Swap Craze??

I just finished reading the article in Modified Mag about Perrins B9 Tribeca 3.0L H6. Just wanted to start a debate on everyones thoughts, opinions, theory, On this swap in all general areas of interest. Perrin has already made well over 500 wheel, on its break in tune. Im going to call Perrin and ask if they plan to market this kit to the public like Hasport has done with the Honda swaps. Would it be worth it? or just something nice for a car show?

Makes you wonder how much of the engine bay/undercarriage they had to modify to get that to fit in.

IIRC, the H6 engine is only like a couple inches difference than the H4's. Someone on nasioc did a swap into his L and it fit fine, just like a wrx swap. I even think the tranny bolts line up for the manual tranny. I'd love to get my hands on a H6 in a couple years when i'm done with school and have enough money for a nice monster build.

I don't think its worth the time or money. Yoe can get similar #'s from the STi block with less money. Also the h6 is heavy

IIRC that was just the H6, no turbo actionz. Adding a turbo would include some extra intake/exhaust piping.

Here's a couple pics of a H6 TT in a WRX.

of course it would take extra piping, but the H6 engine in any newer subaru still has the same amount of space between the firewall and the engine, where the turbo would normally go.

For the same money, you can get a built 2.5L with worked over heads and a nicely matched turbo. It's cool that they got it to work, but I want to take weight out of the car, not put it back in.
