Question Help with Ecutek problem

I just recently bought an ecutek ecu that was supposedly reflashed for an up pipe, turbo back, and drop in filter. i currently only have the turbo back and drop in filter and have an up pipe but have not installed it yet. i went down to the track last night to see what it could do and ran worse times than i did with just a turbo back. also the ecu i bought came from an 02 and i have an 03. i do not know if the year matters but i am trying to figure out why the car lost power. with just the turbo back i ran a 13.9, and with the tb and ecu i ran 14.3-14.6. i might be wrong but shouldnt i at least be able to run like 13.5-13.6 without the up pipe. someone please try and help me figure this out. regardless i think i am just going to give it back to him and get my money back, cause he agreed to do that. what should i do?

after looking at my 60 ft. times i also realized that even if i pulled the same 1.9 60 ft. time that i did when i ran the 13.9, that i would have ran the same 13.9 last night with the new ecu. which means there were no power gains whatsoever.

The problem is that it is not tuned for your setup. Every car is different. You can't buy a used flash and expect it to run perfectly.

lol U need to install the upipe before u put in the flash in, right now all u have is tb and drop in and its not tuned for that and no your not going to be able to run 13.6-8 with out an upipe i have never seen it done and i dont think it will happen. Just install the upipe and ull be happy.

Exactly. Even if you install the uppipe and have the same exact mods it was tuned for I wouldnt expect it to run perfectly since every car is different. Either get your money back or install the UP and get the ecu reflashed to suit your car.
