i want at least 450-500 horsepower but not anytime soon since i have my 240 that im workin on still

well a red or a gt 35R are great choices. but you do know that a 450-500 hp car will not last on stock inturnals.

yea i know ive ben looking at some forged pistons and forged connecting beams and a forged crankshaft...would that be enough or is there any other internal i would have to replace?

The STi already has forged rods, so you may want to save your money there. Pistons are supposedly the weak leak, specifically the ring landings.

Ring lands are best described as the area between the grooves the rings are installed in and the top of the piston. All pistons that use a sealing ring will automatically have ring lands. The thickness of them (as well as the constuction of the piston) will determine their strength.


Are you sure you know what you're getting into? Like has been said, the SZ55 and the FP Red are not really daily driver friendly and require a lot of supporting mods. If I may suggest just getting a EcuTEK flash and a turbo back exhaust and then take some time thinking about what you really want from the car.
