Anyone have a lead for a 96 Outback Tranny/center diff?
Girl at work has one, and they think either the tranny or center diff is going.
Here is what she said:
She said that when she turns sharply left or right, it feels like the car is fighting itself, much like having a parking brake engaged. She said it does it a little when driving straight. She said the engine doesn;t race, and it doesn;t feel like tranny slip, but more like hitting a wall of sorts.
She also just told me that her AT Oil Temp light flashes after starting the car (it flashes for 15 seconds or so) then goes out.
Car can drive straight, but turning does some strange things
Anyone know where we could pick one up cheap?
Its a 96 Outback 2.5 AWD.

what kind of noise when turning???
I mean I may be 100% wrong but I cant think of one problem with a trans. or diff. that would only be apparent when turning..
First thing that comes to mind would be CV.
