Default wideband o2 or egt and a/f gauges?

I have been looking lately at getting an egt and a/f gauge, but when i went to go order them, the guy at the local shop near me said that a wideband is a better bang for my buck. Also, easier to install. What i want to know, is which wideband has both egt and a/f, and will it be capatible with a cobb AP. I dont have the Cobb AP yet, but i am getting it real soon, so should i just get the Cobb AP or get both? Thanks for your help!

there arent any wideband o2's that will give you your egt. a wideband is a really great tool to have. a narrowband a/f gauge is worthless.

as far as being compatible with an accessport, what exactly do you mean? the ap just loads a map to te ecu and thats about it. you can look at the wbo2 while youre driving.

the best bet is to get an egt gauge and a wbo2. innovative makes a really nice wbo2 and you can get it in a gauge. as far as an egt there are a few really good ones. i personally like the greddy for the price.

What i meant about the Cobb AP was will it mess with any of the maps functioning right with a wbo2. Also, where can i buy a wbo2 and does autometer make a egt(preferbly the c2)

no the wbo2 wont be connected in any way with the cobb or your ecu. so no worries. like i said innovative is one of the better wbo2's out there. i'd say best bet is to look on ebay. someone is always selling them. you can get it in a gauge style which is the lc-1 i think. or they have another which is the lm-1. autometer makes egt's in almost every style gauge they sell.

not really. an egt can tell you if youre running too lean anyway, whic with the cobb i dont think you have to worry about.

*Link to PLX R500 at Gruppe-S*

This looks like a pretty sweet deal. If I had the cash, I'd probably get it. It goes for $550 shipped at Gruppe-S and here are some other things to possibly think about.

*Scroll down to 'Engine Management'*

imo the best Wideband out there right now is the AEM. the gauge is accurate down to 10.4:1 and up to 16 or so. Its kinda pricey. ~400 but well worth it.
