Default Got more boost with a turboback?

Today i got my turboback installed(invidia dp, custom 3in ss piping, and hks hi power muffler, no cats). Well before i got it installed i was running 14.5 psi with just short ram intake, perrin crank pulley, bov, and ground wires. Now since ive had the exhaust installed i am running 18 psi!!!! I know my gauge isnt messed up because i just got a new one and got it calibrated. So i am wondering if anybody has gotten this much boost with just an exhaust? Also, is it bad that i am running it that high, i mean isnt that about the max the turbo can handle? Need help asap, thanks!

I'm not sure about turbo subaru's but that's generally the case with turbo cars. I dunno if 18 psi sounds a bit high...but who knows

Disconnect your battery for a couple minutes, reconnect it and restart the car. Let the car idle till your cooling fan comes on and shuts off. Turn off the car, restart it, and drive it like you stole it and the spike SHOULD go away.... after a few days the car should "learn" your new exhaust.

well, i actually tried on installing a new downpipe and i was only able to get one screw loose on the stock DP. well, it tightened back up and i couldnt tighten it all the way. I didnt have any stuff like pv blaster or w/e; i just used normal hand tools. Do you guys think that might be the cause of my boost creep since one of the five screws are loose? Im getting the new DP installed i think saturday so everything will return to normal.
