New Date for Rally Meet: Sunday October 23rd
SORRY FOLKS, I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I WILL BE MOVING THIS WEEK, SO WE WILL HAVE TO EXTEND THE DATE BY ONE WEEKEND, THE NEW DATE IS OCTOBER 23rd.
The Next CFSEC Rally meet will be held on October 23rd 2005 @ 12:30pm
We will be meeting at the corner of State Road 52 and US 19 in front of Publix (in the back part of the parking lot) We will then migrate to the location of the rally meet.
Last time we didn't really have any organization, people wen't off on wild tangents on the trails, which are made for 4 wheelers and not subraus (well, none of it is really made for subarus ) Well anyways, this time, we are going straight to the huge wide open sandpits. When we get there, you will be notified of a certain track (if you wish to participate) and everybody can practice the track for 1-2 hours. When everybody feels comfortable with the track, we will then set up time trials, please note: this is not a race, but a time trial, don't do anything stupid like flip your car or worse just to win, this is purely for fun.
Let me also let you know this: there was damage done to certain vehicles in the last CFSEC rally meet, this was due to a couple factors, but mostly, hauling ass down the trails and not knowing where the bumps and rocks and logs are on the trail, so keep in mind that your car potentially COULD BE damaged. Personally, I have been there a couple of times with my car, and the only problem was a sandy motor, and intake, which needed to be shaken off, also there were some light scratches (easily removable) on the paint due to tree branches sticking out.
There will be film taken of the event, and a video will be put out of the event, there will be a low quality film posted on www.putfile.com. If you wish to get a high quality copy, they will be available. More details will be given later.

this is great. Subaru owners actually using their cars the right way. I would like to come check this out. however, i'm in gainesville, and the suby challenge is that weekend with an open autoX the following day (sunday) in gainesville. if we could reschedule this for next weekend, i'll probably be able to make it.
i love driving my car in the dirt.
EDIT - if this does get moved to the next weekend or weekend after that can someone PM me directions to that publix from I-75? or atleast the mailing address of that publix so i can mapquest it. thanks.
