Default Possible Meet???? Just pitching an idea..

Ok so I have an idea for a fun get together.

Sometime we shoudl all meet up at Tampa Bay Grand Prix and do soem Kart Racing. I think it would be cool because we would all be racing each other and also gettign to know eachother. LOL

We could do a Grand Prix racw which consits of 2 12lap races (one warmup and one qualifying) then the final race of 14laps to determine winner. For those of you who dont know, TBGP is a Kart Racing place in St. Pete. They offer High End Karts that go up to 45mph on a 1200' track.

http://www.tampabaygp.com/

The price for the Grand Prix is around 38.00 but it is well worth it. They have some other event offerings also. I say we try it out a few times and if everyone likes it we could talk to them about group pricing.

Maybe a caravan to there after a saturday meet or something, I personnaly prefer to go late on saturdays (around 9-11pm) because there is rarely anyone there and it is much cooler outside.

Well thats my idea, let me know what you all think. I will be goign out there this comign saturday so if anyone wants to come check it out.

I'd be down for it, depending on the $$$ situation and if there's a dance I have to go to for work. Hit me up on AIM.

Thumbs up Cool good idea!

Kart racing is tons of fun and is a great way to hone your skills for the real tracks in our subies! I'm new to the group and could think of no better way to meet some members and have a good time doing it. Is this where the Momo Kart place used to be in St Pete or no? I'm sure by now you may or may not have already gone but let me know if your interested again and maybe next weekend we could all meet up?

i've been there a few times. i'm surpised more suby owners don't go there. would love to do the full gran prix if we can get enough people. everything is computerized so you end up with your own account and receive printouts of your race with rankings. you can also go online and check your stats whenever. anyway it's aaawweeessomme.

No, much further North. The old MoMo was way down near 54th Ave South on Us 19. Tbgp is around 47th Ave North on Us 19.

I work at a photography studio. I go to dances to help out the actual photographers at proms, homecoming, or any other kind of dances that they may have. They've been short handed on the weekeneds with 6-8 different schools having it at once, and I'm one not to complain about the extra $$$.

I'd be in for some kart racing as long as I can get my 6'4" butt in them...

No worries guy, this is like 10000000 times better then MGP.. LOL

Ok so everyone seems to think its a good idea... How about we plan for Saturday October 22nd at 10:00pm. If there is a problem with that date we can adjust. As long as we have more then 4 people, lol, I say we do the Grand Prix. It will cost 38.00 and wil give us a total of 3 races (1 warmup, 1 qualifying and 1 real staged race where we all start at the same time). IF any less then that or 38 is to rich for some peoples blood we can just do the mini-grand prix.

Let me know what you all think
