Why are you adding a cat. It sounded so good without one!

IMO, the h/f cat doesnt rob too much boxer bumble sound. it is a pleasant change for me to have one cat that is very far downstream from the d/p (and outlet).....

from what i have researched, the h/f metal substrate cats do not cost any power loss when properly tuned. this is why i decided it would be a good change...

Get out of here! Where did you go? All the places around here close at 10. Did you buy it in Hillsborough county?

Sorry for the hijack

Not much ese...same old stuff.

I've just ordered the Typhoon so it should be here Monday. I figured it'd be a nice first mod. I'll post pics when I get it installed.

I want to get rid of some of the stink. From talking to some people you don't lose much of the sound except on the top end, i.e. the "raspiness". So I should still have most of the sound.

See above.

Yes there is some sucking in sound. Mine is quite loud as the bolt @ 6 o clock on the dp (ie the center one underneath) keeps coming loose. When I tighten that up the sound is greatly reduced. As far as the heatshielding I'll take pics of it before I take it off and send 'em to ya as well as post 'em. It's f/s by the way. The f/s thread is where I'll post the pics.

But V, U could use a tune for nice gains even with just a short ram. Then it'd be there for exh, etc.
