Default Suspension woes

Driving down a trail, a rather large yet unseen log jumped up and bit my front passenger side suspension. Symptoms:

* steering wheel cocked ~1" to left
* drives perfectly straight
* front passenger wheel has a degree or so more negative camber than front driver wheel
* vibrates at all speeds, more so around 60-65mph

Guy on NASIOC suggests bent control arm or tie rod....any ideas

control arm and tie rod sounds right. It may even be the sterring rack. a friend of mine hit a pothole in his jetta and it totally fucked up his steering rack so get that checked too.

From the steering thing, I'd say tie-rod. Doesn't sound to me like steering rack, unless it feels different when turning (like, lock to lock).

I hit that same log, I still haven't diagnosed any problems yet. I may have gotten out of it relatively unscathed.

I figured so. I'm glad to hear it.

i have a bent controll arm... spent about 45 minutes with the attitude ajuster of a hammer and pretty much got it fixed....

that whole situation could have been avoided. 1 person could have screwed up 4 cars.
