Lightbulb part needed::: subie brothers, please helpmeh..

brethern.......

i am in need of a paret/number 9or heck, the part itself is fine, too) for my 06 sti.....

i need the steering column cover, for the sti/2006/wrx/etc. to replace the one i have on there now. when installing the laamco boost gauge, mastro (following the instructions!) placed it on the opposite side from the 05's gauge, and i definitely do NOT want to keep it on there. it blocks the outside temp, and partially the fuel gauge (the important bottom ¼-E portion i need to see!). prior, on my 05, they located it on the RHS of the column, and it blocked absolutely nothing. perfect. guess i was expecting this again, and am unhappy about its location now.

i dont believe they did anything wrong, as the instructions state to put it there, but it is a thorn in my side by blocking so much stuff...

can anyone help me get the oem top cover, so i can relocate the pod to the RHS instead?? it'd be a lifesaver.

thnx much

-ese

ps- i am not faulting mastro on this; they did great work installing all the stuff on the options list; i just wish i wopulda known that the last gauge was installed on the rhs which is against the directions......

Okay first you little weasel where did you get the logoed mats from?

IF this is still the same as it was on the '05
p/n: 34341SA030JC
Name: Cover Ay Col
List: 29.42

All of this was from 07/2004 when I removed my boost gauge. And yep doing a quick search Wilkins Subaru still shows this same part number on 07/18/2005 here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/arch.../t-742943.html

Not that you need it but if I recall correctly it is both the bottom and top parts.

Hth

Oh btw if you don't want it I'll gladly take that drilled cover off your hand.

Also btw btw my boost gauge was also mounted on the lhs from the factory.

so where is the problem of having a little tiny whole on that peice of plastic??? dust damage? why dont you move it yourself. it isnt very hard to do. mech gauge right? just a vac. line and a power and maybe a ground. depending on what brand gauge.
