Default Changing 05+ Sti Hvac controls to red aka did 06 get it right?

Ok you 06 Sti guys did Subaru finally get it right and change the Hvac controls to red to match the gauges?

Did y'all know the 05+ Hvac controls were actually from Nissan? Pic here:http://www.freshalloy.com/site/cars/...z_interior.jpg .

Anyone know if those are red from the factory? I have a couple friends at work that have 350z I can ask them on Tuesday if nobody knows.

THEy may be found on the nissan, but i believe they are made by nippon-denso 9or the like).

i had my 2005's redone w/red LED's (you cannot do the 04 fix on them) for about 50 bucks plus some shipp. "ardinos" did em for me, and has since perfected the led type/color spread pretty well....

if the z's are matching their dash, then they will be close, indeed. the 2006's sti are the same colour as 2005, unfortunately,..... (i was hoping, too)...

i wonder if the jdm sti wagon is though....

I don't know about the HVAC, but many of the swithches/elect. connectors say Nissan directly on them.
