egt gauge
James, if you want an accurate reading of egt's, tap the exhaust mani or uppipe. There is about 180 degree difference between pre and post turbo exhuast temps (pre being higher, of course). Also, get atleast a 52 mm gauge so you can actually read it! I have an Omori 52 egt and matches the green WRX cluster perfectly. I think Defi makes some nice amber/red ones to match the STi. i was looking at the autometer carbon fiber 52mm gauge. is it easy to tap?

no the 1/8 tap I bought from ace hardware for like $10. I tapped mine on the cylinder #3 header, I know that cylinder gets prone to running leaner than the others, so I wanna watch that first.
