Apparently it's somewhat of a common problem for the rear latch to stick and not fully unlock on the Imprezas.

I can use the keyless entry to unlock all doors and hatch but every other time I'm forced to re-lock and doors and unlock again before the rear latch frees up.

Anyone figure out what causes this or just something you have to live with?

 

if you dont want to buy a new one.....

is your car still under warrenty? might be able to get the dealer to throw a new one on.
